What answers you

• Every token of Pi's reply is one evaluation of the 5,142,875-gate NAND netlist of impossible LLM v2 (0 latches, 106 inputs, 13 outputs), gate by gate on your CPU — about 10 ms per token. No weights, no GPU.
• Inputs: the last 6 MiniCPM5 tokens (17 bits each) and 4 random bits. Each table entry holds the teacher's three most frequent answers for that context; the random bits pick one in proportion. The output is a 13-bit code into 8,192 token ids.
• Because a 6-token window over the chat template would always see the same template tail, the reply continues your last message. Pi's thinking phase is skipped and a reply ends after 48 tokens.

What to expect

• It is not MiniCPM5-2B. It agrees with the teacher's most likely next token 22–31% of the time on held-out Wikipedia, web, chat and Chinese text (greedy); the teacher itself is right about 49%.
• It does not get stuck any more (v1 looped “the 2008 , the 2008 …” on every prompt): with sampling, 0 of 80 test prompts fall into a short loop. It still is not coherent and jumps between English, Chinese and code.
• It cannot call tools. It never emits the tool-call markup, so the shell, the files and nand_step are only usable by you, not by the agent. The workspace still works from the Shell panel.

How this page was checked

• The netlist matches its table semantics on 5.5 million inputs with 0 mismatches (all 293,717 entries under all 16 random values, 200,000 random inputs, 800,000 held-out windows); the in-page JavaScript evaluator matches on 4,000 inputs.
• The netlist is not on chain — it was not burned, and at about 170 blocks per step it could not run there — so, unlike nand_step, its tokens are not cross-checked against BNB Chain.

The nand_step tool (unchanged)

A 386-gate grid-navigation netlist, exhaustively self-checked on load (the chip in the corner) and cross-checked on every call against the same circuit burned as cid 287 on BNB Chain with a read-only eth_call. With the netlist brain the agent no longer calls it (see above); the chip still self-checks on every load. Details in NAND-TOOL.md.
